We've completed the maintenance and paying users can now use Apple Pay again. We'll monitor that things return to usual levels before marking as complete.

Due to a delay in our work, we couldn't carry out this maintenance during the planned time. Users paying with Apple Pay today were not affected.
We will need to temporarily disable Apple Pay on GOV.UK Pay tomorrow so we can complete this important maintenance. While we can't specify the exact time right now we expect to carry out this maintenance on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 between 10am and 4pm.
We will update with more specifics tomorrow closer to when we turn off Apple Pay for paying users. During this period, users won't see the Apple Pay option when making a payment. All other payment methods will still be available.
